REVIVALIST

revivalist: (n) A believer who is focused and passionate, willing to pay any price to live in community, purity and power because they are loved by God, whose manifest presence transforms lives and cultures.

DISCIPLE

In order to become a revivalist, you must first become a disciple of Jesus. A disciple is a follower of the doctrines of a teacher or school of thought. At BSSD, you will learn exactly what it means to follow Jesus.

BSSD is located in Humboldt County on the California coast with easy access to the ocean and the renowned California redwoods. This area has a rich history in revival and is known for being the area from which the first Jesus Movement was birthed.

I discovered this school by applying for Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, and first I thought it was a cruel joke. My application had been forwarded to a school on the coast that didn’t even have a tenth of the enrollment that BSSM has? However, the past five months I have encountered God daily in worship, prayer, Bible study, small groups, church, etc. I realized that God had set me up to encounter a church family that loves better than anywhere else I have been.

Bethel School of Supernatural Discipleship is not simply a school, but an ecosystem. It is an environment where risks are taken, bonds are broken and growth occurs in every direction. This school has created a place for me to whole-heartedly seek God and not worry about anything else. There is freedom to fail and pick myself up again, but not without the help of loving arms. This place has made me feel safe to pursue the Lord at my own pace while preserving my identity.
